Bill Roberts – Broker Owner

Bill brings over 40 years of experience to his role as Managing Director of CognoTerra including traditional commercial real estate, mergers & acquisitions, and regulatory compliance management.

At CognoTerra, Bill consistently delivers for clients seeking specialized land applications as well as office leasing and sales. The company specializes in investor acquisitions and development of land for wetlands mitigation, water banking, and Brownfield remediation projects. Transactions include both the acquisition and sale of agricultural land in Florida representing a group of investors dedicated to environmentally-friendly land development. For a decade, Bill worked in commercial real estate in Tampa Bay as part of the highly-successful Berkshire Hathaway Commercial team.

A graduate of Stetson University, Bill served as president of Stetson’s National Alumni Association and received the University’s Distinguished Service Award as well as serving for a number of years on the Board of Advisors at the Lynn School of Business. A career in telecommunications developing broadband networks earned him recognition as a “Cable TV Pioneer” in 2005. He serves his community as a past president of the Rotary Club of Tampa Bay and as long-time chair of the Hillsborough County Transportation Policy Organization’s Citizens Committee representing Tampa International Airport.
